End of Summer Swimming Party

I know I am playing catch up with my blog today, but we have had a lot going on this week. Here is a picture I took at an end of summer swimming party last Thursday. (I would have posted it earlier, but I left my camera at the swimming pool and just barely figured out where it was.)

The boys and I got invited to go swimming with a bunch of our buddies at a private pool last Thursday. Grace (the owner of the pool and most gorgeous backyard I have ever seen) opens up her backyard and swimming pool every thursday during the summer for all to enjoy. We had a wondrful time. The kids had a great time in the pool, and I had a great time admiring the piece of heaven that is Grace's backyard. (Envision a secluded yard with a pool, diving board, mature trees, and paths that lead to a play house, trampolie, fire pit, koy pond, and hammocks all scattered throughout a beautifully lush perenial garden and you just might have a glimpse of this absolutely stunning yard.) I think we played in Grace's backyard for 3 or 4 hours. It was heavenly, not to mention the company was GREAT! It was fun to spend the day with good friends enjoying one last day in the sun before everyone goes back to school. What a perfect day!

Well hello there! I too am excited to be able to post a comment once again!

That was such a fun day. We will certainly have to do it again more often next year. Don't worry, some of us have already bribed her for next summer. :0)

I need to get in on that bribe. Maybe she would just let me live there all summer. I promise I would help with the yard work.
