My LIttle Video

I am attempting to learn how to put together video clips on iMovie. This is my first attempt. I thought it turned out pretty good. Our neighborhood is doing a little Film Festival this year. People put together short films and we get together at the local park and watch them drive-in style. I am hoping to make a short video of the neighborhood kids. Wish me luck!

Swimming with Abbie and Friends

Today, we had the opportunity go swimming at a neighbor's house. We were so happy to have Abbie come with us. We all, well most of us, had a good time swimming in the pool and playing in the yard. Avie was not to fond of the pool, but she really enjoyed swinging in the hammocks. . .
and following her brothers around the yard. I just love this arbor.
This picture I actually took after we got home. Abbie and Connor made a waterfall. Pretty ingenious.
This picture says exactly how I feel about summer days at Grace's house. Wonderful!!!
Avie really thought this hammock was great. I think that swinging in this hammock was her favorite thing to do. (Ironically, she hates 'real' swings.)
Some of our other friends made up a great game of secret spies. Here, Parker and another spy venture out into the garden.
Yeah, for cousins!!! We were so glad to have Abbie with us. She was very helpful playing in the pool with Connor and Parker.
This is Parker's Super Secret Spy pose. Pretty stealthy.
Way to jump Abbie!!!

What a great day at the pool.

This is the Place Heritage Park

I've lived here my whole life and never been to This is the Place Heritage Park. The kids and I, along with my niece Abbie had a great time exploring there this week for our summer adventure. Connor loved panning for gold in the stream.
Avie loved the big train, as long as we got to sit in the caboose. We tried three times to take the big train around the whole park but she screamed the whole way.
Parker was an excellent clothes washer. He cleaned them 'old school' just like the pioneers.
I just loved this picture of the kids on the mini train ride. I love the view of the valley. I can imagine Brigham Young looking out over the valley. So pretty.

Thanksgiving Point

Our summer adventure for last week was the Thanksgiving Point Farm. Unfortunately my camera batteries died two pictures into our adventure. We were so glad to have Aunt Jen with us for the day. She was kind enough to let us sleep over at her house the night before so that we could get there bright and early. I was also really glad to have her because I never would have realized that there is a really cool glass blowing studio at Thanksgiving Point. We had a great time exploring all that Thanksgiving Point has to offer.

Lagoon - It's What Fun IS!!!

As part of the Davis Family Reunion we got to spend a day at Lagoon. I don't know what the big draw to these boats are, but they are still a favorite.
Jeremy and I got to entertain Avie while the boys went on the rides. She was happy that we let her roam the streets of Lago0n too.
She really like the boy's light sabers that we bought once it got dark. It kept her busy for a while. A trip to Lagoon isn't complete until the boys have taken a run through the fountain.

Family Reunion @ Wolf Creek

A few weeks ago we got to get together with the whole Davis clan for a family reunion. We spent the day up at Wolf Creek. We had a great time enjoying good company and playing hard. Parker loved riding in the kayaks with his Dad. (Although he does look a bit tentative in this picture.)
We never could get Connor to take a ride in the kayaks. He was having too much fun splashing and playing with the cousins.
Parker would have rather been doing cannon balls off of the dock with his older cousins, but he was nice enough to play with his little sister for a while.
Avie enjoyed bouncing the beach balls with her cousin, Chloe.
The boys however, had a great time dousing everyone in the water fight.

It was so good to see so many members of the Davis family. We had a great time getting to know aunts, uncles and cousins that we haven't seen for a VERY long time. Thanks everyone!!!
